Ten secrets Benny is keeping:
Jan. 28th, 2016 08:02 pm1. Currently, his official title is Sheriff of Las Vegas but it is generally accepted as an open secret he the King. Las Vegas has always been his baby and will always be.
2. He cried when they blew up the Flamingo. Then he ate a showgirl. Or several.
3. Fuck New York, although he owes loyalty to the family he tends to prefer the West Coast because of the freedom it allows him. He usually only visits home when there’s a crisis and he needs to close ranks.
4. There was an incident in the 70s that almost brought the family to its knees. Benny was behind it and he got away with it. If pressed to give a reason, he’ll either say because he was bored (or more likely) he was doing a test run.
5. During one of his many sabbaticals, Benny met a young man named JT who had a dream and he views himself as a mentor to the boy. In return for his protection, Ben has quite a few cartels and an MC that owe him their patronage.
6. He skims money from the West Coast accounts and blows it for shits and giggles.
7. He firmly believes there is absolutely nothing he can do Meyer wouldn’t get him out of. Meyer is the only one who has anything close to sincere friendship. Or the closest Benny is capable of.
8. His views on Charlie Luciano and Arnold Rothstein vary from unabashed adoration and unfettered contempt; it depends on the day and sometimes the hour.
9. He can’t juggle. He finds this to be his greatest weakness.
10. He’s wondered more than once why the family’s nest never showed typical behavior. He suspects it’s from the fact they basically run a mini fortress with a mixed crowd. He’s been tempted more than once to introduce Hep V into the fray to see where it goes but doesn’t dare. He might hurt Meyer.
